Whether in Mailorder, or any other kind of business, where you sell your Products & deal with Customers, there are a few things that you MUST do to succeed:
 
(1) First things FIRST! You must be able to provide a quality Product or Service that a LOT of People will want.
 
(2) Put OTHERS first! You must try to help to satisfy the needs of others,.. help others to acheive THEIR dreams,... and in the process your OWN needs & dreams will be realized!
 
(3) You must own or control at least one product! To make a LOT of money, you must offer something that only YOU can provide. You must have exclusive control over (at least) one product or service. It must be something that people can't find anywhere else. It should be something that is wanted by a LOT of people!
 
(4) Money makes money! You must SPEND money (on advertising; promotion, etc.) to make money! Unless money is INVESTED in your business,... unless "seeds are planted", there will be no "harvest!"
 
(5) Stress the Benefits! Your customers really don't care how great your company is,... or how wonderful YOU are,... they ONLY want to know how YOUR product can help THEM! How it will meet their needs; benefit and improve their life; make them happier; richer, etc. They will buy what you're selling, IF they feel they will be better off by buying from you.
 
(6) Offer something FREE! You won't make any money by giving your products or services away FREE,... but, FREE is still the Number 1, BEST word to use in your advertising. If you can offer a FREE Sample; or FREE Information; or a FREE Catalog, etc., people will come to you for that FREE thing, and then if you do it right, they will be impressed, and want to do more business with you! But, first you got to "get 'em to visit your store!"
 
(7) Treat 'em right! You must help your customers to feel that they can trust you,.. to feel confident that you're honest; and that you'll only provide quality products or services, AND that they can get their money back, if they're not satisfied.
 
(8) You'll need help! You MUST use the services of Dealers; Distributors and Agents. ( It's impossible, through your own efforts, to reach everyone in the world.) Your Dealers will make more sales for you, than you ever could alone. Your Dealers will reach people you can't reach! Who are the Best People to recruit as your Dealers? Your own Satisfied Customers!
 
(9) Re-Invest 30%! You must continue to take a portion of your Profits, and Re-Invest that money back into your business. Use that money to buy more ads; print up more catalogs or flyers; to do more mailings. That INVESTMENT (of about 30% of your profits) of money back into your business will make it grow & multiply. If you DON'T do it, you'll never even come close to making a LOT of money!
 
(10) Always keep your eyes open! Find someone who's making the kind of money THAT YOU want to make,.. and do EXACTLY what they're doing!
